Return Policy

Return Window:
If you are not completely satisfied with a product you purchased, please return the item within ninety (90) days of the purchase date for a full refund. If you purchase a product from us that fails to live up to the standards as described in its warranty, then please bring it back for a full refund or replacement.

A receipt is required for all returns unless purchases are made on an active charge or rewards account. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, or as store credit at the lowest advertised price if no proof is available.

Condition of Merchandise:
Items must be returned in like-new condition and complete with the manufacturer’s packaging. If merchandise is damaged at the time of purchase, return it promptly with the receipt.

Exceptions to policy, as stated above:

  • Special Order Items: Refer to the specific Special Order policy below.
  • Live Plants: We will accept live plant returns within 24 hours of purchase if properly cared for & watered. Excludes annuals, baskets, indoor plants & vegetables.
  • Non-Returnable Items:  All sales are final on gift cards, cut-to-length & clearance items.

Special Order Return Policy

Approval Needed:
Returns of special order items require prior approval from our customer support team.

Supplier Consent:
Returns must also be approved by the item's manufacturer or supplier.

Returning special order items may involve restocking and freight charges, which vary based on the item and circumstances.

Condition of Merchandise:
Items should be returned in their original, unopened condition with all packaging. Used, altered, or damaged items may not be returnable.

Prompt initiation of returns is advised to comply with any manufacturer-specific deadlines.

Refunds or Replacements:
Outcomes of approved returns, whether refunds, replacements, or store credit, are determined by the supplier's policies.

Returns of Unclaimed Special Orders Policy

  • Notification and Collection: We notify you promptly when your special order arrives. Please ensure your contact details are up-to-date and follow the provided pickup instructions, including location and hours.
  • Exceptional Circumstances: If unforeseen issues prevent timely pickup, contact our sales team. We may consider extending the pickup period on a case-by-case basis.
  • Return and Restocking Fee: Unclaimed special orders will be returned to our supplier if not collected within 14 days from the notification. A restocking fee of the product’s purchase price and freight charges will apply.

MPBS Coupon Policy

Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping at Moscow & Pullman Building Supply. When accepting coupons, we follow these guidelines:

General Guidelines
We have the right to accept, decline, or limit the use of ANY coupon(s) and/or the subsequent return(s) for any reason. All coupons will be accepted at face value, unless otherwise indicated by Moscow & Pullman Building Supply (MPBS). All coupons must be presented to the cashier at the time of purchase to be redeemed. We do not accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores. We do not accept counterfeit or fraudulent coupons. Coupons cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offer(s) including, but not limited to, other coupon(s) – with the exception being loyalty rewards coupon(s). Applicable taxes must be paid by bearer. Not redeemable for cash. We do not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons. Coupons reduce the refundable amount and coupon value will not be given back upon return of  merchandise. Coupons that appear distorted, altered, or blurry in any way will not be accepted. Coupons cannot be applied to prior purchases or used to purchase gift card(s). MPBS offers or coupons [i.e., $5 off your purchase of $30 or more (circular coupon)] cannot be combined with any other discount offer(s) including, but not limited to, Senior Tuesday Discount, Military Discount, sale(s), promotion(s),coupon(s), or any other account holder discount unless otherwise indicated by MPBS. Valid for in-stock, regular priced items only, and cannot be used on special order(s) or ready-to-order(s) purchases. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time without advance notice or advertisement. The coupon policy may be available upon request in store and online at All guidelines expressed below are in addition to the general guidelines. Coupons are not valid for online purchases, in-store only.

Manufacturers Coupons
When purchasing a single item, we accept one (1) manufacturer coupon per transaction. When purchasing multiple items that qualify for the use of a manufacture coupon, we accept multiple manufacturer coupons for multiple qualifying items, unless otherwise indicated. Manufacturer coupons are not accepted from a mobile device; they must be printed and presented to the cashier at the time of purchase.

Best Rewards Coupons
We accept expired Best Rewards coupons. These are the only coupons that can be used in conjunction with one (1) or more best rewards coupons. Best Rewards coupons can be used on sale items. An instant Rewards coupon for $5 off a purchase of $30 or more is given to any new Best Rewards members. As indicated on the coupon, “Certain Restrictions Apply.” Please reference the General Guidelines to see exclusions. Important Update: Customers are now capped at receiving a maximum of $100 in coupons each month. This means that any spending over $5,000 in a single month, will result in excess points being carried over to the following month(s). These points will be redeemed at a rate of no more than $100 in coupons per month until fully distributed. Please see our Loyalty Rewards webpage for more information.


Lumber Sorting Policy

We do not allow lumber sorting. Please note, sticker prices may not be up to date due to current market conditions and fluctuations. Thank you for understanding.


Price Match Guarantee

At Moscow & Pullman Building Supply, delivering exceptional service and competitive pricing is our paramount objective. We recognize, however, that there are occasions when we might not fully meet these standards. To address this and reinforce our commitment to our customers, we proudly offer our 'Price Match Guarantee.' This guarantee applies to all local competitors within the Palouse Region (Quad Cities). Should you find a lower everyday price for an identical, in-stock item at any local competitor, simply present the advertisement, printout, or photo at the time of purchase. Our team will validate the information and match the competitor's price... It's that simple!

Limitations: Does not include professional services, including installations or labor (such as delivery). Our "Price Match" does not apply to competitor’s national online pricing and must be branch-specific to our region as specified above, nor does it apply to the following:

  • Seasonal, discontinued, obsolete, limited-quantity, out of stock, open-box, clearance, and sale items.
  • Offers that include financing, bundling of items, free items, pricing errors, and mail-in offers/rebates.
  • Custom or "special order" products - meaning customized or specialty configured products.
  • Sales tax is excluded.
  • Sales with unreasonable quantities

Washington State Plastic Bag Ban  

In accordance with the Washington State Department of Ecology's Plastic Bag Ban, and in efforts to protect the environment and reduce plastic litter, we're requesting that our customers use recyclable bags when shopping at our Pullman store. You are encouraged to bring your own bag, however, if you forget we are providing brown paper bags at $0.08/ea. We are also offering MPBS branded, reusable totes for purchase at checkout, as well.
